T4 (Levotyroxine) is an oral compound which is a tyrosine-based hormone produced by the thyroid gland. Among bodybuilders and athletes T4 is used as a weight loss drug to maintain a low fat content during preparation for various contests and sporting events.
Dosage: The average dosage of T4 (Levotiron) is 25 -100 mcg per day. Athletes are recommended to start with the minimum dosage and increase it gradually. A cycle should last no longer than 6 weeks and it should never be halted abruptly.
Side effects: The main side effects that may occur while using T4 are: heart palpitations, agitation, shortness of breath, irregular heartbeat, sweating, nausea, headaches, headache, upset stomach, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach cramps, nervousness, irritability and insomnia.
